maybe an F150 2.7 ecoboost?
fit 6 people, haul lumber, and get good gas mileage?

It'll be challenging hitting all three of those categories.

To fix 6 comfortably, you'll need a super crew cab (four doors)

To haul lumber, any truck will do

To get good gas mileage, compared to your Corolla, I dunno. Full sized trucks get nearly as good or better gas mileage than most midsized. The Chevy/GMC midsized diesels are maybe the exception but that is a nearly $4,000 premium to get that engine vs gas.

As a point of reference, I have a V8, 2017 F150 and I get 18-20 mpg. I'd consider that great for a full sized V8 for the way I'm driving it.
