There are several options that can work, you can get yourself a TV (there are some that work well, some that don't) which allows you to get a really big size, you can get a high res (4k) monitor, or a more stand resolution monitor. If I were recommending something for my mom, I'd get something like this:



It has a nice look to it, kind of an apple feel with the white and brushed metal. It's 2560 X 1440 resolution, which in your use case I think is sufficient. It's big, easy to see. I love my 32 inch screen that I'm writing this on.

You would need a separate webcam.
