The CFP isn't happening unless we see some multiple, crazy losses to teams like Bama, ND, Clemson, OSU, etc. And even then I just don't see either BYU or Cincy getting an invite. It just won't happen and BYU shouldn't bet the farm on such a remote possibility.
However, the NY6 is absolutely in play. After the first CFP rankings we'll a have a better idea where BYU stands in that regard as far as perception. But I still think the chances are good and an additional game against the right opponent could help that cause. Again, a lot of depends on the final records of a lot of schools.
My guess is Holmoe knows the changes of CFP are very, very remote and he won't do anything geared towards that. But we could something to help bolster the NY6 potential.
