I have never understood why people say things like that. It's basically saying, "I am right, and anybody who disagrees with me is wrong. So shut up about it."

Personally, my dream would be to get into the Big12 or the Pac12. I would do ANYTHING to get into one of those. So, with my limited knowledge about the behind-the-scenes workings of college athletics, I would say to the Pac12 - "We will do anything to help you guys out. We'll play at your place, at the drop of the hat." Possibly, that would make us more attractive to them (and other conferences) the next time expansion comes about. Certainly, it seems better than us looking difficult - even though it's really them being difficult.

But I guess that's just my opinion, as a guy who would love to see us in the Big12 or Pac12.
