MILLIONS of dollars this year. They are going to be livid to give a spot to an Independent team. Same would go for having another G5 team. They have one G5 team already built in, but notice how much lower the next G5 team is. No threat to take a spot.

I think they dropped BYU about as low as they thought they reasonably could get away with. As long as BYU is 1 spot short, that is all they need to show to their bosses at the end of the day.
