I disagree with you, they are a "monolith" that thinks one way. This committee has a STRONG bias against allowing more than 1 non-P5 Team into the NY6 or Playoff. It has only happened once and I believe it was the TCU/BSU game before TCU moved to the BIG12. Even then, they pitted them against each other instead of playing other P5 teams.

I also do feel that there are those on that committee that don't like the thought of BYU being in the discussion of an NY6 or heaven forbid the playoffs. The only way BYU will ever sniff an NY6 game (I don't think we will ever get in the playoffs) is to go undefeated with next years schedule.

I know you disagree, but the Committee will never allow a non P5 school into the CFP as it is presently constituted today. They will look for every loophole or excuse to keep the G5 teams out (BYU Included). Maybe when they expand to 8 teams, but not now. That is the "monolith" that I know is there and I doubt it will ever be broken down again.
