Access is the solution. It works for hoops. Greater access to the tourney means more teams can and will compete.
Football needs to follow that model. Improve access to the playoff. It will spread the talent wealth around more, but also keep more fans engaged more all year long. And with only 12 regular seasons games, the stakes will still be high for each and you won't have the same issues hoops has with a 30-game regular season.
It is time for some serious CFB changes. Sorry Bowls, but you are now secondary for the postseason. Let them bid for the games.

It's a problem, and is hurting the game. Need a 16-team playoff. IT will spread talent around more, and improve CFB.
