more respect out of a pretty weak schedule, and of the G5s, the AAC is the most well respected—seems like they almost always get the auto bid. Add Boise State with BYU and I think the AAC would always get it, and maybe inclusion as an at large into the CFP if the AAC keeps getting into the NY6 and winning. History matters when it is an eye test that is the standard.
I have always been a fan of Indy over G5, but I think it makes sense to give it one more chance at B12 and then go to AAC under the right circumstances (money, TV rights, etc.).
If adding a Western contingent of good teams along with BYU we will still be able to play all over the country and schedule P5s for our out of conference games. So, I guess I am saying I don’t hate the idea, with the added bonus that it would be great for basketball. The question is whether Kalani and the future football players would hate that idea.
