Who right now are #2 and #3 for every conference?

Not sure? So right now we are competing with everyone.

We are competing with all of them for rankings. Whether they are above us or below us now or later matters because it can be the difference from needing to be 12 or 7. That is a direct competition with every non champ of a P5 and 1 Go5. And it is still an indirect competition later (and direct right now because we don't know who champs are) yet with every eventual champ of those 6 conferences because where they land DOES impact how high BYU has to finish. You have even admitted that aspect but some how you don't believe that aspect means we are competing with them for rankings.

If someone else is 12 and we are 14, they directly beat us out for the needed ranking.

If an auto bid is beyond 12 they are making us compete for a better ranking.
