I think the whole thing is a joke including the lame message to my girls
She was handed a photo op - She didn’t earn jack and she shouldn’t have been out there. I do give her credit for having the courage to go out there but some girls can be incredible athletes on their own merit and don’t need the faux confidence booster slogan of the “play like a girl” slogan and/or being treated like a special needs kid (no knock on those guys- I love seeing those moments).

Sounds inspiring but it’s actually harmful and unhelpful. Like many things in modern society, it’s just hollow and wrong
