Even more unpopular view. "You can be anything" is the biggest lie we tell kids.
I wanted to be the 1st female NFL QB as a kid. Stopped growing at 5'1" and well, I'm female. It's great to dream but "anything" includes a lot of stuff we simply can never do. What if Jen Hamson wanted to be a gymnast? Think that would work? She took gymnastics lessons as a kid so why not?
We all work with what we're given and make the most of our opportunities. Saying there are limits doesn't mean we have to sell ourselves short. Well, except me because short is all I got to work with. 😉

Sounds inspiring but it’s actually harmful and unhelpful. Like many things in modern society, it’s just hollow and wrong
