They are not accurate or real reasons, i.e. everyone knows regulation and/or competitive alternatives are out there. But when a major technical resistance is hit, they suddenly come to the surface.

Disclaimer. I'm not predicting anything, and i am long bitcoin related interests which have done well, but i don't expect to make more from here in the short term.
