Same justifications made last time. Big people were involved.
This time no one is claiming Bitcoin will replace fiat currencies as they did before. No one is even saying it is a better mouse trap as a payments system. Plus, everyone now knows all transactions are 100% traceable. So those possible downsides, while debated in 2017, are more certain now.

There will be pullbacks and there is absolutely nothing fundamental that tells us how to value crypto currencies. All we have is store of value. Stable prices for a while will actually help Bitcoin credibility for the longer term.

I am into it knowing the investment is not risk free and that i have no knowledge edge over other smart market participants. There are easier ways to make money.
