Here’s why it’s a dumb argument:
1 if it was an advantage, more coaches would do it, bottom line.

2. Missions create roster headaches. It’s a huge challenge for coaches to juggle recruiting

3. It really sets players back physically. Usually takes a full year for people to get back and get their body in a groove again. What do people think missions are? My buddy who played for Stanford, served a mission and came back 30 lbs lighter. Took him two years to gain that weight back.

4. The physical challenge has created a lot of injury risk
