Zaphod Don’t Panic
Losing Grimes is a big deal. We are all in good spirits due to the year we just
had, but make no mistake, Grimes was one of the big drivers behind that success. The future will be challenging and we’d be far better off by retaining Grimes. We should bump salaries to retain our talent.

People seem to be a little shocked that he’s leaving BYU for Baylor. It makes no sense until you consider salaries, then it becomes crystal clear why we’re losing him, and will continue to lose talented coaches like him in the future.

Next year, when we struggle, I guarantee we’ll be missing Grimes and it will seem a much bigger deal then.

I’d rather have Grimes and A-Rod instead of just A-Rod.

If we want continued success, we need continued retention of these coaches that make such a big difference.
