This thread reminded me of a conversation I had with my son a few weeks ago.
He is a junior in HS, straight A's, good athlete, did really well on the ACT.

I asked him if he ever considered applying for an Ivy league school. He didn't say anything, just looked at me. I said, "You know, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Dartmouth, Cornell..."

Before I finished, he said, "Ok, now you're just making things up."



I guess maybe the Ivy league isn't for him. 🙁
