during residency and that he wanted to quit medicine and had suicidal thoughts. He says he likes his job now but he feels like his training damaged him as a person and he doesn't know if he'll ever be whole again. It definitely left an impression and would make me question ever encouraging my kids to go into medicine, I didn't know it could be that brutal.
