I have a 10 year old middle of the road projector
With a 120" Screen. I literally do not own any other TV.
I LOVE IT.
Conference is Awesome on it. BYU Football is Awesome on it. Cobra Kai is Awesome on it. even Hallmark Countdown to Christmas is awesome on it.
I would go with the projector.

Also I think a projector is usually going for a different effect overall. it's theater vs crispness

OLED for sure. HDR is not the same on a projector. It's actually impossible

How is it impossible?

With a projector you lose light the further the screen is away obviously.

The answer for AV enthusiasts is both. OLED for a living room daytime viewing
