Another thing those who don't follow recruiting closely need to understand is
that the difference outside of the top 30 or so recruiting classes is often a single recruit or two. You can jump 20 or 30 spots by getting a highly rated guy or two and/or simply having more guys sign.
Outside of that top tier of recruiting, success is based off of identifying and developing guys. Being that the team last year was the deepest and most talented top to bottom that BYU's probably had since the late 90's, I'd say BYU's currently doing a pretty good job on that front.
