Best way to keep birds away from an outdoor chandelier? We installed one above our front door, and now birds will land

there and we get poop on our front porch. Didn't think of that when we installed it. Fake owls are out because they only work for a few days unless you always move it, which would be difficult. I am going to try hanging the below product we found on Amazon. Any suggestions you've found that work effectively? There's spikes, but I'm not sure if we could effectively attach them to the chandelier.
