It’s much worse than that. Brees retirement only saves $13.5m Unless he
Restructures his contract and stays on the roster until June. Then they could save $24m but that defers another $11.5m In dead space into 2022.

Same with Cam Jordan and Onyemata , cutting them is not an option due to the dead space they would would leave. They would only save $2 and $2.5m They could be restructured and save more space than that but that adds money in the future.

Jenkins, Brown, Sanders, and Easton could all be cut but it won’t save as much as the figures you listed. It will be a few million less due to dead space. Jenkins would only save $7m, Sanders only $4m.

Ramczyk and Alexander are the only ones that are straight up cap savings but they want to keep Ramczyk.

Cutting all those guys they would be more like $35m short not $7m. They can restructure some of those contracts and get it lower. And then they will have to restructure some more.

Taysom is a restructure candidate, he counts $16m against the cap and cutting him doesn’t save much so he has some leverage for another extension. Restructuring contracts carries their cap issues into the future. They will probably have at least a rough 2 years.
