woulda gotten crushed by this year's Zags team.

Like the Zags last year, they were pretenders as an elite team. I don't think either were legit top-10 teams late in the season. I think they both woulda gotten exposed in the Tourney. Especially the Zags — who were much tougher when Tillie was playing healthy.

We could handle both teams fairly decently cuz neither had a dominant, physical big. That was our achilles — that we just didn't face in WCC play. Our other achilles was facing a lockdown wing who could handle Toolson. The best one in the conference last season was clearly Malik Fitts at St Marys. His defense on Toolson was at least 50% of the reason they beat us twice last season (as much credit as Ford & his scoring got for those wins).

Also, Bennett's special use of their 7 foot awkward Aussie was key in taking Yoeli out. Few probably shoulda turned to his seldom-used bench bigs when they played us.

Yoeli never was very good at handling true 7 footers who bodied him up hard. Even if they weren't that talented, he struggled with them.
