That was last Christmas and took ~19 hours over two days each way. It's a long drive, but we're kind of used to those and don't mind them so much. Plus we wanted to cross some new states off the list of ones we hadn't visited yet.

We went from western Missouri, through the southern tip of Illinois, through the western corner of Kentucky, through Tennessee, through Georgia, and through most of Florida.

Then on the way back we went through Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Missouri again.

So we hit 9 different states on the round trip.
