My first tile job was over 900 sf, so it was a decent project for a first-timer. Just take your time with the layout and cutting, and buy/rent/borrow the right tools. You can rent the saws at any tool rental place. If you are doing circular cuts (like for toilet drain holes), then you might want to buy or borrow a Rotozip or similar tool that has a cutting blade. Other than that, you will just need a notched trowel, a margin trowel, grout float, bucket, large sponge, and some tile spacers (total cost <$50). Another nice thing to have would be a mixing paddle that connects to a drill for mixing the thinset. There are lots of YouTube videos and online tutorials that are helpful. For a 200 sf job, if you do the work yourself, you could end up with a net savings of ~$1,000 AFTER you buy the tools and installation materials.
