supplied not only better athleticism than usually, but a lot of quality & parity in terms of both skill & position.
Rose didn't have to go very far to get a very complete roster — & that's great, because he most surely wouldn't have assembled such a balanced & talented roster if it wasn't right there to be had among BYU typical recruiting field.
But to Rose's everlasting credit, he did a beautifully ingenious thing in offering a smallish 2* guard from upstate NY — & building an offense around him that would accomplish things no one could've possibly have predicted it to do.
