I have people look at me funny at work because I peel from the bottom

When I peel from the stem, it smashes the top if it isn't ripe enough. Peeling from the bottom is simple and I don't get smashed banana. I'm sure people think my parents never taught me properly but in reality I just laugh at them while the'yre eating their smashed banana. Idiots....
