And teach them a four year degree at a university isnt the only career path
And that trade and skills jobs also are admirable goals because any job you work hard at and do your best at is a good job. Some of those you can even learn on the job so you don’t spend 60,000+ on a student loan. That’s what I did, and have plenty of money because I am not paying back a huge student loan, got paid to learn, and now have a full time career. University is good for many and certain careers, but it’s not for everyone.

I think that’s a thing we miss out on....we hammer kids so hard on “go to college, it’s the best way for most people” that we forget there’s trade and skills work too which keeps society functioning and often there’s many jobs waiting for those who want to learn a skill or trade.
