You can work out at home. The main point isn’t that people should have gone to Vasa and licked bar bells between sets. It is that public policy clearly didn’t push people toward the behaviors that would likely save the most lives:
- Diet (you can’t out work a bad diet); diet would mostly be well balanced and cutting calories, but also take some vitamins
- Exercise
- Sleep
- Sunshine and fresh air
- Lower stress levels
- Positivity / optimism / courage
Most public policy encouraged the opposite of much of the above obvious needs for a healthy imune system.
