Football can’t say in any year even if they go undefeated. As we saw this year, a perfect and dominant BYU football most likely gets left out in favor of a team with more political connections who may have only played half a season (which is why we had to schedule CCU in the middle of the night). Where in basketball, at least in theory, ALL teams have a shot. It’s beautiful and should not go away.
