Just setting the record straight on this for those who might actually believe
this post. As an ER doctor who has seen lots of people die from COVID, I have never ever had anyone even suggest anything remotely similar to falsely diagnosing someone as having COVID. Not only would that be morally wrong as a lie, but it would be illegal and open me up to potential litigation. Doctors go to great lengths to get their medical license and I can’t imagine there would be many if any that would be willing to knowingly commit fraud like that and risk their livelihood.

Secondly, when it comes to getting paid: I get paid on salary. My pay does not change regardless of how many patients I see, how many procedures I perform, or what I diagnose people with. Whether or not I diagnose someone with COVID has no effect whatsoever on my pay.

I hope there aren’t many on this board that believe the conspiracy that doctors are intentionally falsely diagnosing people with COVID, or that they are being paid more to do so. Could you imagine the lawsuits? The idea is preposterous.

Conspiracies like this that erode the public confidence in the medical system hurt the unfortunate people that believe them, whether it’s grandma that gets hospitalized from Covid after refusing the vaccine, or grandma that is duped into paying her life savings for “light therapy” treatments for cancer. I’ve seen both.
