recently. Basically the car runs starts fine, runs fine for a week or two, then randomly won't start. No sound, no turning over or clicking when the key is turned. Totally dead.

It jump starts easily each time this happens and runs fine until randomly not starting again. I've looked it over and the cables and battery look fine. We took this in to our long-time mechanic, and he looked it over up and down and said everything checks out as being good and he doesn't know why it has the random no start problem.

Any ideas from mechanics or anyone who has has a similar problem?
