Here are the facts. Stocks are trading at higher p/e than they historically have. Fundamentals have been completely thrown out the window in a lot of cases. Nobody has any idea where the market is headed long term. Diversify your holdings. Include in your holdings things that are a hedge against inflation. This would be things like precious metals (small position) and real estate (large position) whether through holding a hard asset or via REITs.
