If you are single, I would probably recommend paying off the debt, but you have a lot of flexibility. If you have some other method to pay it off, or you think you will, then go pursue your goals. If you have a family, I think you're stuck, at least until you pay off your debt. So just try to be happy with what you've got. Many jobs are unfulfilling.
