Sounds totally worth it.
I appreciate your perspective but it doesn't add up. There is evidence that as a volunteer you still only see what they want you to.

People wanting to get back home that are unable to does not paint a pretty picture. The same arguments you are making could be applied to Hispanic immigrants here in the U.S. but there are key differences in how its playing out that confirm something else is happening. Many of the Hispanic communities are in horrible conditions to us but miles ahead of Mexico and Central America. The difference I am seeing is you dont ever see them desperate to get home. That says a lot. When was the last time an employer here held someone's foreign passport? If it was such a step up that would not be necessary. 2-300 euros a month is life changing and would be totally worth those conditions. Why are so many saying it isn't worth it then? I know nothing of what the Guardian has reported and first found out about this from VICE. Say what you will about their liberal bias but they do a good job of staying independent along with several others echoing their claims.
