Some great memories...a few more
Don't forget Stan's on 9th East. Awesome shakes. Also La Dolce Vita on about 100 or 200 East near Center. First time I tried gnocchi was there.

But Bamboo Hut...yum. I still miss their wantons, and have been looking for crab wontons that were as good ever since.
Wasn't my thing, but Hogi Yogi seemed popular at the time, too.

Also, freshman year at the Morris or Canon Center and all you could eat food was the bomb, depending on if you were at DT or Helaman. I was in DT, and there was the small Creamery "outlet" right across from us next to the pool. Freshman 15 was real.

Pickup ball was always better in the Smith Fieldhouse with its bouncier floor. You could also get some games with the football players, who seemed to play much more horizontally than vertically. Ty Detmer lit us up from the 3 point line one time out there. Also saw a guy once in the RB get fouled hard and pushed into the hard-tiled wall about 7-10 feet behind the basket and break his arm. And of course he was wearing the official BYU PE gear at the time, as we all required to be.

I see someone mentioned Wolf's for skis. I got my first skis at "sniagrab" (bargains spelled backward).
