My Freshman year, 95-96, we got a sheet of tickets with seats that moved around,
similar to how football used to be. Students were spread out more at that time. When I got back, they no longer had tickets with seating assignments, and that's when the students ended up together on the sidelines.

Many students were really upset about losing the sideline. But this is infinitely better for the atmosphere
