People get let go all the time for all sorts of reasons. Nobody at The U fired him because he’s black. So this rant is meaningless.
I get that against the backdrop of the Scalley thing, this doesn’t look good. But what’s the end goal here? If Scalley gets fired, Holiday is still fired.
If they issue an apology to Holiday (which they shouldn’t do because he wasn’t fired because he’s black) what does that accomplish?
Then, if they offer him his job back, he’d probably tell them to shove it because who would want to work for a place that wanted to fire you?
What’s the goal here?
