Having grown up as a Mormon kid who’s now an atheist, I find the groupthink on these kinds of posts when I navigate to CB to find out about BYU sports so asinine.

Why are you so sensitive about how much you love your own children that you have to try to put a limit on how much I get to love my dog? Screw that. My wife and I rescued our dog three years ago when she had cancer and have loved her every single day since. She’s our world. Is she a human child? No. Why do you need to criticize me for choosing to love and nurture a creature?

I don’t understand the hate.
