The opening post is specifically referencing, people who "compare their pets to kids".
It isn't the love, the spoiling, the activity, or any of that. It is the COMPARISON that is off-putting. You have said multiple times, "my dog isn't equivalent to a human in my eyes" or "Nobody I know in our group of dog parents thinks that our dogs are the same as humans". So the post isn't referencing you or your "group".
The opening post is critical of people who literally compare their pets to kids and or express frustration when they aren't seen as comparable parents.
