None of which have much to do with QB upside. Those are more linebacker-type attributes to upside. They are the same height. I am not referring to stars. College coaches offer based on the potential they see in a player at the next level (i.e., “upside”). So college coaches agree on the upside question, and Hall hasn’t done much yet to show that he’s a much better college QB than he was a high school QB. Maybe he will, and if he beats out Conover, hopefully that means he’s very, very good. But nothing so far says to me that he’s the guy of future over Conover.
