Repeatedly throughout the song he builds a verse and when you're expecting a massive drop, it tones back a little bit as he flashes forward to the next scene. You don't even realize it, but the song has in fact been in a building crescendo the entire song and you finally get the massive drop payoff you've been waiting for when it cuts to the freeway scene. Just brilliant. His lyrics are fantastic too.
