Of course they're unquestionably committed to education. That's not the same thing as being committed to mainstream academia.

The traditional university system is going to continue its steady march into post-modernist leftism. BYU stands over a fault line. It's going to get uncomfortable for BYU and if there were an easy way out, I think the church would have taken it.
