I have questions about a set up to stream movies to kids devices on road trip.
In the past we've just popped a dvd into the van's dvd player which has been an okay but there are always fights on which movie to watch. This summer we'll be doing a road trip in a rental so I need a different setup. I've done a bit of research here on Cougarboard (I knew there were posts in the past about this) and google but I still have some questions. First it looks like the best option is to get a RavPower file hub travel router. See link.

Then I just need to put my movies on a flash drive or SD card and use the device to wirelessly stream the movies to the different devices.

Here are my questions. Feel free to explain it to me like I'm five:

1. What is the best way to rip DVD's and blu-rays to the SD card? Is there a legal way to copy my own movies I own? I don't know.

2. What is the best way to set up this device to stream to both android phones and kindle fires?

3. Is there a better option out there I'm unaware of?
