I travel there often as I have an office in Montevideo. It is a great place. Calm, great beaches, some great restaurants

Featuring great beef, and amazing people. Feels European in many ways.

Punta del Este to the northwest of Montevideo is an amazing beach town with the best beaches in the general area.

Also, it’s a 2 hour ferry ride to Buenos Aires which is also really cool.
