Welp, we have cruddy luck. We canceled our original flight with Jetblue
once they canceled the direct flight and made it a connecting flight through Orlando, and we paid up to rebook with United for a direct flight. In talking to the United agent when booking he said, "this is a full flight. The chances of it being canceled and rebooked to a connecting flight are basically zero."

Just got an email from United that our direct flight was canceled and changed to a connecting flight. Flying home we now get to fly from Costa Rica to New Jersey and then from New Jersey all the way across the country to LAX haha. What can you do?? I get that it's a pandemic and flights change but this sucks bigtime.
