That's why I said
"this is the first time in 100 days that Gonzaga has played a really good team. In the interim, it's possible that BYU was their strongest opponent (either them or USC, both 6 seeds). That's not a knock on Gonzaga but playing BYU, a bunch of mediocre WCC teams, and then getting a 16, 9, 6, 11 path to the title isn't going to prepare them for a team like Baylor."
There schedule was very front-loaded and then mediocre for 3+ months and I wonder if that didn't keep them as sharp. Not the end of the world obviously, but something I'd be looking at if I was Gonzaga.
