Three main requirements:
1. A house can only be sold to be owner occupied.
2. After two years residence an owner can convert their property to a rental.
3. At no time can the number of property rental make up more than 40% of the units ( we have 103 townhomes).
Demand is high and investors hoping to turn the world into rentals are ever circling.
Glad we did this. Currently we are just under 30% rentals, and feel much higher would negatively affect the neighborhood.
