If it's recently expired it will be fine. If it's a while expired than might
have an issue.
I had to fly to a funeral once from vacation. When got to the funeral location realized my license was expired (by like two weeks). Airlines hadn't said anything but now I was in trouble because couldn't rent a car. Luckily, other family was there that we could bum rides off of.
