I’ve camped on the beach as a kid, stayed in a houseboat as an adult

But the best trip to Powell is where we stayed at one of the hotels and just docked the boat each night snd had a place to get off the water and unwind a bit and give the kids a break from the sun. It’s not my favorite place to go, but we went almost every year as a kid and as an adult I only took my kids a few times
