Powell is fantastic as a kid and if you have a Houseboat. It gets more stressful as an adult with the responsibility of ensuring the safety of five kids, wife and aging parents.

We still Powell every few years, however, we much prefer cruising to the Eastern or Southern Caribbean or going to Hawaii for a week. The last time we were at LP it was 99 degrees every day in August and the wind blew all day every day. We also had the sand storm from hades hit Bullfrog, i'm telling you, as the adult in charge...it was no fun.
